August 14, only two weeks till football starts. A couple inches of rain the last few days had slowed work on the plaza area. We now have Lake Reyburn by the new concession stand. The ticket booth is rising out of the mud. Fencing is being installed around the facility. Most of the major work is done on the south end of the facility, around the long jump and pole vault areas. Fencing needs to be completed around the discus area and landscaping around the shot put circles. The tennis courts are starting to be resurfaced. The NW light pole has been reinstalled. The flat work around the press box and top of the stadium has been poured. The Plaza are is the last key area to be completed... we need a few days of sun and dry weather.

  • The long jump pits (right) and pole vault approaches are done. In the spring a rubberized surface will be laid on the concrete. The fencing is complete.
